"When you say you love me..."

I came across this image today; depicting the first same-sex couple to be legally married in New York City: Phyllis Siegel, 76 & Connie Kopelov, 84. It evokes a million feelings, but what stands out to me the most is the simplicity. There's no white dress, no huge party, no expensive cake...just two people that are enjoying the right to finally be together and have their love officially recognized by society. And in the end, that love is all that matters. One step closer to equality. ♥
